monoculars
Like binoculars, monoculars have different features, and different
magnifications. Picking out monoculars that suite you may be just
as hard as picking out a pair of binoculars.
Monoculars
Monoculars are almost the same as binoculars, except they are more
lightweight and compact. Bringing along your pair of monoculars
that fit in your shirt pocket may be more appealing than bringing
binoculars that don't.
Bringing a pair of monoculars along on a camping trip may be a
better idea than bringing a pair binoculars. The small monoculars
can fit into virtually any space, whether its in a backpack, pocket,
or some other tight area. They are lighter and more compact than
any pair of binoculars.
Buying monoculars doesn't have to be a difficult thing. There are
many different brands of monoculars and many different manufacturers
as well. Generally, stick to the guidelines of buying binoculars.
Refer to the buying binoculars page
for general advice on the type of magnification and types of activities
each many be used for.
The type of monoculars you would like depends on what you will
be using them for. In general, try to keep in mind what you are
going to use them for while you are shopping for them. If you don't
need the best, don't buy the best. But, don't go cheap when you
need something of quality or you will be disappointed.
Be sure that if there is a return policy you are aware of it before
buying. If you are unable to return your monoculars for a refund,
be sure that you see other monoculars that you would be interested
in, or at least other things in the store that you would be interested
in buying. If the dealer will allow it, take some out into the field
and use them on a trial basis to get an idea what you like and dislike
about certain models and get an idea what you will need.
